Cookie Policy
Effective date: 6 October 2026 · Version 1.0
This page explains cookies and similar browser technologies on SinoChapter, operated by Pax Sinica Publishing Limited, Hong Kong.
Accounts, payments and security
Ghost uses technologies necessary for member authentication and account access. Stripe's payment integration may use cookies, local or session storage and device signals for payment operation and fraud prevention. Stripe's script can load when you browse the site, before checkout. These technologies may process IP addresses and browser/device information.
Disabling account or payment technologies in your browser may prevent sign-in or checkout from working. Browser controls can remove cookies and site data, but removing them may sign you out.
Optional tracking
Ghost web analytics, email-open and email-click tracking, member-source tracking and outbound link tagging are disabled. We have not added advertising pixels or an external audience-analytics service to the theme.
If we introduce optional technologies requiring consent, they will remain off until you choose them. Any consent control will offer equally accessible accept and reject choices, purpose-based preferences and a way to change your decision. Optional tracking is not a condition of membership.
Provider information and changes
Specific identifiers and storage lifetimes can vary with provider updates and the account or payment flow. See Ghost's cookie information and Stripe's cookie information. Those providers' own website preference controls do not automatically set your preferences on SinoChapter.
Our Privacy Policy explains data use and your rights. We review this policy when integrations change. Questions: hello@sinochapter.com.
Library storage — 7 October 2026
SinoChapter uses browser local storage, under a key beginning sino.library.v1., to remember the reading positions, listening positions and bookmarks you create. This functional storage is separate from optional analytics. Entries expire after a year without an update. Use My library to export or clear it; clearing browser data also removes it.
When cross-device saving is activated, member progress will also be saved on our Cloudflare service. Optional usage measurement is off by default and can be enabled or disabled in My library. No advertising tracker is added by the reader library. An internet connection is required to open guides and stream audio; the home-screen installation does not download the bookshelf for offline access.
